Police responded today to shots fired at rapper Lil Wayne’s upscale Miami Beach home.
Miami Beach Det. Vivian Thayer says police units responded Wednesday after someone called to say four people had been shot at the waterfront home on the exclusive island, La Gorce Island.
Thayer says officers had not yet confirmed the information on the call or who made it.
Property records show the eight-bedroom, 10-bath home was most recently assessed at $9.4 million.
According to Young Money’s Twitter, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was not home at the time.
Law enforcement report it was a prank call after searching every room in the house.
Lil Wayne Tweeted this afternoon: “Prank call mane.”
