The OMG Girlz have called it quits. The female group featuring rapper T.I.’s stepdaughter, Zonnique Pullins, released a message via Twitter on Thursday, announcing the sad news as well as thanking fans for their love and support.
The Atlanta-based group of girls, then ages 11 to 13, was first assembled in 2009, with rapper T.I.’s wife, former Xscape member Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, at the helm. The original lineup also featured Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, who was allegedly kicked out of the group in 2010. The OMG Girlz had two tracks hit the U.S. Billboard charts, including “Gucci This (Gucci That)” and “Where The Boys At?”
Although this may be the end for the girls as a group, we wouldn’t be surprised if Tiny was behind her daughter’s pursuit of a solo career; nonetheless, we’re sad to see these girls go their separate ways.
