It’s a great day to be an Irish man for Justin Bieber who now has for the third time been successful at ducking getting reprieved for another court date on St. Patrick’s Day. I know they say Lucky Charms are magically delicious but come on judge; clearly the excuse, “my grandparents are coming to visit me,” is almost equivalent to saying “the dog ate my homework.” I’m just saying. Did the Bieb really get his grandparents to write a “Dear Judge” letter to excuse grandson Justin Bieber from court again? According to a Gossip Extra exclusive report we learned:
A judge in Miami handed the singer a small victory in a lawsuit last night when he allowed him to skip a three-time-rescheduled court proceeding that was supposed to take place this morning in Fort Lauderdale so that Bieber could spend time with his grandparents. The mediation session scheduled for 10 a.m. was postponed to March 31!
One excuse that Bieber’s legal team used to sway Judge Eric Hendon was that The Biebs’ maternal grandparents flew to Los Angeles to be with him.
The legal wrangling over the three-hour mediation, which is designed to help the parties negotiate and avoid a trial in the lawsuit brought against him by a paparazzo, has been going on since last year.
At one point, Bieber tried to have the judge excuse him from attending because, he claimed, it would have cost him more than $68,000 in expenses for a private jet, hotel and “entourage fees” to fly to Miami.
In time, the judge decided Bieber has to attend but now allowed him to do it March 31.
Photographer Jeffery Binion sued in June 2013 after he was allegedly roughed up by a bodyguard near a recording studio in North Miami. Binion, who’s seeking millions, claims the bodyguard acted on Bieber’s orders.
Besides didn’t they know Bieber had a roast to recuperate from that’s scheduled to air March 30? The pop star, 21, signed on for the comedy event (guess that’s why his grandparents flew to visit him in Los Angeles). It took place Saturday, March 14. The joke was definitely on Bieber as he was repeated joned on by big-name comedians, including Kevin Hart, Pete Davidson, Hannibal Buress and Will Ferrell.
