Woman fires gun inside fast-food restaurant because bacon was left off her burger

Shaneka-Torres

A woman in Grand Rapids, Michigan, became belligerent after a fast-food restaurant left bacon off her burger. According to reports by MLive, Shaneka Torres, 30, went to McDonald’s to get a bacon burger. However, the bacon was missing and Torres requested a chat with the restaurant’s manager.

After a discussion with the manager, Torres was given a free coupon for a bacon burger. Hours later, Torres returned to McDonald’s with a friend after a night of drinking and partying. She flirted with a McDonald’s employee at the drive-thru and gave him her number. But things went south after she received her food.

Torres noticed that bacon was missing from her burger again, and reached for her weapon. At some point, the weapon discharged and a bullet went through a window. Fortunately, no one was injured by the gunfire.

Torres and her friend drove away from the scene, but they were later arrested. Since the incident, Torres has claimed that the gun discharged accidentally.

Torres was convicted of felony use of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and discharging a firearm into an occupied building. She faces seven years in prison.
