Romeo Miller has long been considered one of the hottest hunks in Hollywood, but recently some of his fans in the Black community have cried foul against the actor since he revealed that he’s in a relationship with a White woman. And now Miller is speaking out against the critics and defending his relationship.

Miller spoke about this romance during a recent interview on the “Meredith Viera Show,” in which he explained that he was shocked that people had a problem with his girlfriend, Toneata Morgan.

It’s crazy to think in 2015, when I start posting pictures of me and my girl, obviously I’m Black, she’s White, you know I didn’t think that would be a problem. A lot of hate mail and hate comments was [sic] on there — Why are you with this girl? ‘She’s only with you because of this,’” Romeo said.

The young actor went on to deny that he only likes White women and explains that he’s simply with Morgan because they love each other.

“And it’s just sad because if anybody know [sic] me, and all the girls that I’ve dated, I’ve dated girls as black as Akon as white as Casper, it don’t [sic] matter. It’s all about the heart. And in this time and place, she’s the one that captured my heart. She can be blue, green or yellow,” Miller explained.

Well, it may be 2015, but prejudice is far from being gone in our society and the issue of interracial dating remains a hot-button topic in the Black community, especially when it comes to Black men dating White women.
