Damon Dash I’m so confused as to how we got here. You went from zero to 100 in less than 30 days. One day you were chilling at the “Breakfast Club” making headline news, exercising your freedom of speech as an unwanted by the law citizen. Then a week later you allegedly kidnapped your own daughter from the nail salon and it’s been all downhill from there. If it wasn’t bad enough we had to write about you losing physical custody of both your angels accompanied by a three-year restraining order. To add insult to injury or fight fire with fire you turned around and filed a huge lawsuit against your ex-wife, Rachel Roy; and now she got a judge to sign off on a warrant for your arrest for being in the arrears in child support to the tune of almost $350,000.00. Are you kidding me?
The co-founder of Roc-A-Fella records, fashion guru and Kanye West’s business partner has been slapped with a warrant for his arrest by a New York judge and asked to immediately fork over at least 341,999.16 to avoid jail time of at least six months.You and Royl have been divorced since 2009 and you are still going back and forth with these type of issues? All Roy wants is for you to pay for camp, tuition, and child support.
The good news is, since this is a civil matter, it can only be enforced in the city of New York. But wait, this isn’t good news for Damon Dash as NYC is his residency.
The timing may be perfect as we learned earlier this week Dash dropped his lawsuit against Lee Daniels for the 2 million dollars he invested in a film that he claimed he didn’t see any return on. Dash said he will not have black on black legal issues with his fellow friend/former friend Lee Daniels and they decided to work things outside the court system. I hope they worked things out to the tune of #341,999.16 for the sake of the public not wanting to see such a superstar business mogul like Dash in jail for failure to pay child support.
