An assistant Wayne County (Detroit) prosecutor, Teana Walsh, resigned on Friday, May 1, 2015 after posting an inflammatory message about Baltimore demonstrators protesting the death of Freddie Gray on Facebook this past Monday, April 27.

Cliff Woodards II, a criminal defense attorney from Southfield, Michigan, took a screenshot of the now deleted post that read: “Solution,” she wrote. “Simple. Shoot em. Period. End of discussion. I don’t care what causes the protesters to turn violent … what the ‘they did it because’ reason is … no way is this acceptable. Flipping disgusting.”
