“Real Housewives of Atlanta’s” Kenya Moore broke her silence on her Bravo TV blog. I must say I found her words very tasteful and non-condescending for a change. From the episodes we saw leading up to the reunion show, we might have thought the attire denoting peace and pretty makeup really meant the girls were gathering for a blissful review of the past season’s antics — wrong! According to Kenya Moore, we learned the following:

On Porsha stating Kenya didn’t deserve an apology

For starters Kenya didn’t seem like she took offense to Porsha Williams stating she didn’t deserve an apology from her for dragging her across the floor at last year’s reunion show. Rather Kenya seemed almost more embarrassed for Porsha William’s actions in regards to how her behavior reflected on Rev. Hosea Williams’ legacy. For some strange reason, it seems she assumed the grandchild of the civil rights leader who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would value nonviolence — nope, not Porsha “Mayweather/Holyfield” Williams. It’s a new era and a new day.

On Phaedra’s insistence Kenya Moore is Kenya “Wh—“

Remember the truce we witnessed between Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks who were hugging and crying together on a prior episode? Of course you do. The truce ended in Phaedra inviting Kenya to church. I think I shed a few tears myself. Well, the network is not called Bravo for nothing. It’s the exact word that describes how I felt about the truce performance. Best Actress award in a comedy/drama series goes to both Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore because that was one convincing performance. For three minutes I think all 3 million plus viewers fell for it. Isn’t that why these reunion shows exist — to clear up misconceptions we may have derived during the season?

On NeNe Leakes viewpoint that all single women on the show should be fired…

Kenya Moore begs to differ. According to Kenya, all the franchises have single women as part of their cast. As a matter of fact, both Kenya and Claudia Jordan represent the 43 percent of Black women in the U.S. who are not married. If it weren’t for the single women on the shows, viewers wouldn’t be able to experience viewing the joys of dating and controversies involved in dating relationships. Also, because single women are allowed on the show we were able to view beautiful weddings and courtships like Kim Zolciak’s marriage to Troy, NeNe’s re-marriage to Gregg Leakes and experience Bethenny’s wonderful union with her husband, you know the one she is separated from and fighting over custody of their daughter. We wouldn’t benefit from this if these single rules were in place.

In the meantime, for Kenya Moore “Life Twirls On,” figuratively and literally. You can check out the Moore Vision Production sneak preview on Kenya’s Facebook page. All you have to do is like the page and you will gain access to the preview. Can’t wait ’til 9 p.m. Sunday night to catch part two of the “RHOA” reunion show.
