Former “American Idol” finalist Ashthon Jones continues to slayed the audience with her powerful performance at the 2015 Who’s Who Kids & Teen Honor Awards produced by CFox Productions. Social media raved about her vocal skills, which recently landed her single, “Time ” in the new movie Sister Code starring Amber Rose, Eva Marcille and Dru Sidora. Jones was joined by several celebrities, including R&B artist Angie Stone (supporting her kid group D-Squared), and Reindrop Lopes, to name a few.
According to the event producer, Jones put her heart into Saturday’s performance, “Six Flags will never be the same! She came with one goal and that was to inspire the honor roll students and she did just that She was simply amazing!”
Jones seemed more than delighted to entertain the kids as she posted the following comment on her Facebook page, “Just wanna say thank you to Carlos Coleman for allowing me to be apart of honoring 2015 students for all their great work! I walked out feelin like I gave back and Made a difference! S/O to all the amazing artist that came out to support our youth! #SixFlags”
Jones has always been an advocate for encouraging the youth to strive for high achievements in life. Featured on Grammy.com Ashthon was one of several guest artists on a compilation album titled “Songs for a Healthier America”, which aimed at youths to make healthier eating and living decisions.
The day didn’t end at Six Flags.To Jones’ surprise, later that evening she would meet the woman whose song landed her in a finalist spot on “American Idol,” Jennifer Holliday, among others as she attended Kenny Leon’s annual fundraising gala that commenced at the end of his annual golf tournament.
