Star Jones, the president and spokesperson of the National Association of Professional Women, hosted the NAPW Power Networking Event and Diversity Career Fair at George R Brown Convention Center in Houston.
In September of 2014, the Professional Diversity Network, Inc. and the National Association of Professional Woman merged to become one company and tapped Jones as the new president and spokesperson for the new company.
“Since the PDN and NAPW merger, we have maintained our belief that diversity improves the performance of businesses. Our vibrant networking community now provides a personal forum for you to promote your business, product or service, share ideas and expand your network to our 600,000 diverse professional women members. As president of PDN, I will continue to lead a team dedicated to supporting and advocating for women and all diverse Americans utilizing the collective strength of our affiliate companies, members, partners, technology, and unique proprietary platform to set the standard in business diversity recruiting, networking and professional development for women, minorities, veterans, LGBT and disabled persons nationally,” Jones said in her address to attendees.
