For more than a year now, fans have doubted Mimi Faust and Nikko Smith’s claims that their supposedly private sex tape was stolen out of their luggage and leaked to Vivid Entertainment. And during this season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” both Smith and his estranged wife, Margeaux Simms, have threatened to expose Faust as a liar. Now, Faust has decided to expose herself and reveal the not-so-surprising news that she faked the leak with Smith.
Faust finally came clean about the lie in an interview with Us Weekly, explaining that Smith shopped the tape to Vivid after he convinced her to do the sex tape.
“The way he went about it was, ‘Our lovemaking is like art. We should document this,’ and all of that Brooklyn suave bull—-. And I was like, ‘yeah, yeah.’ ” Faust explained.
After Faust agreed to film herself having sex with Smith, she claims Smith convinced her to agree to lie and about the tape being leaked and that selling the tape would be a good way to make money. However, she now regrets making such a foolish decision.
“Stupid decision? Yes. ” Mimi reflects. “Do I wish I could take it back? Absolutely. But at the time, I went along with it.”
We agree that the decision was foolish and that some things just shouldn’t be for sale for the sake of the celebrity life. But Faust’s confession doesn’t end there. Read about how her lie quickly spun out of control after the cut.
