Young Thug arrested in Atlanta for making terroristic threats

Atlanta-based rapper Young Thug was arrested for threatening to shoot a security guard at a suburban Atlanta mall, Perimeter Mall. Thug, né Jeffery Lamar Williams, 23, was arrested early Wednesday morning, July 15, at 6 a.m. The incident reportedly occurred on July 7. The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force aided Dunwoody, Georgia police in serving a warrant charging Thug with terroristic threats.

The arrest warrant says Thug was escorted out the mall when he “threatened to shoot (a security guard) in the face.”

A search warrant was also issued to search his Sandy Springs mansion.

He’s being booked at the DeKalb County Jail.

Young Thug’s debut album, HiTunes, is scheduled for release on August 28.
