It’s not uncommon for fathers to resent the guys who date their daughters. However, one Florida man took things a bit too far when he became violent against a male who was dating his teenage stepdaughter.
According to reports by Orlando Sentinel, the 16-year-old victim went to visit his girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. But when he arrived at the home, he was approached by two older men holding shotguns.
Alvin Gene Knight, the stepfather of the victim’s girlfriend, pointed the gun directly at the boy’s face. The victim didn’t flinch and stared at the man without fear. Looking to prove a point, Knight fired a shot at the victim and a bullet grazed his face.
The teen was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery. Knight has been convicted of burglary and assault. He was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm.
