ATL Live on the Park continues to be a staple for live R&B during the summer months in Atlanta. The latest event took place on July 14 at Park Tavern as Vina Mills and Silk served as the headlining acts.
Vina Mills hit the stage first and proved that she’s prepared to claim her spot in the music industry. A mixture of Beyonce and James Brown, Mills provided high energy throughout her set and kept the crowd nodding to her single, “Love’em Good.”
Silk followed by reminding fans of what it feels like to experience good ole fashion R&B. The 90s era group opened with their hit single “Meeting in My Bedroom.” The group also gave a sneak peek of their new album before returning to their classics.
The fan favorite proved to be their 1992 hit “Freak Me.” It soon became a show only for the grown and sexy as several female members of the audience joined the group on stage and received complimentary lap dances.
The next ATL Live on the Park will take place on August 11th at Park Tavern in Atlanta and will be an all-white affair.
