From the perspective of fans, it seems like Claudia Jordan has had a rough time recently with rumors flying that she’s been fired from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and the confirmed news that she’s left “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.” Now, after weeks of barely speaking about the news, Jordan recently visited Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” and spilled the beans on what really happened.
Right at the start of the interview, the hosts asked Jordan if she’s really been fired from “RHOA” or not.
“I’m still in the mix. I’m still in play with the ‘Housewives.’ I’ve not been released from my contract. The way it works is they test people out every year and they see if they can get someone in there to change it up, get in the mix and kind of bring life. So people don’t get their peach status, a lot of times, until halfway during the season, and that’s what happened to me [last season],” Jordan explained, while also denying that NeNe Leakes got her fired from the series.
Jordan also revealed that she just ended a relationship with an unknown boyfriend.
“I was [dating] and we just broke up last week,” she revealed.
The hosts then turned their attention to Jordan’s exit from “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” and she explained that she had a difficult time trying to fill the shoes of former host Ebony Steele, who was replaced by Jordan.
“I don’t know. Ebony was dope. She actually reached out to me. She’s been real cool. It was tough to step into that job after Ebony Steele. She’s actually one of the best in the game. No one really understood why she wasn’t there anymore. Including myself. She was dope and I think she should still be there,” Jordan said.
“I got brought into the mix with very hostile fans because they wanted answers. They want to know why she wasn’t there,” Jordan added.
Jordan seemed very upfront about what happened in her radio career, but the interview took a dramatic turn when she was asked if the rumors are true that Smiley is difficult to work with when it comes to women.
