The Internet has been ablaze since Meek Mill’s inflammatory Twitter rant in which he accused OVO leader Drake of not writing his own rhymes.

Popular radio DJ and personality Funk Master Flex kicked things up a notch when he premiered on his show what appears to be a reference track for Drake’s “10 Bandz” being rapped by OVO affiliate Quentin Miller. The leaked track features Miller rapping nearly identical verses to the song heard on Drake’s record-breaking If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late album.

Nonetheless, Drizzy’s longtime musical collaborator Noah “40” Shebib has stepped forth to defend his friend.

In a long series of tweets, Shebib rants about the fact that rap is the only genre that frowns upon performers not writing their songs, adding that Drake has a “skill to recognize other great songs.”

Shebib acknowledges that Miller had some input, but insists “you’re smokin that s— you say you selling if you think someone wrote that s—.”
