Though riding high on the success of his latest album, Black Rose, singer and actor Tyrese is still taking time to tend to his ever budding film career.
The “Shame” singer recently visited Abu Dhabi to promote the global release of his record-breaking film, Furious 7, for Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
With parts of the film being shot there, Abu Dhabi seemed a perfect a choice for the four-day international press junket in celebration of Furious 7’s September 15 Blu-ray and DVD release.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcomed back Universal to Abu Dhabi to build on a successful partnership that resulted in one of the highest grossing movies of all time,” said Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of production company twofour54. “(We’ve) built an infrastructure in Abu Dhabi that is ‘production-ready’ for even the biggest of projects and we are delighted that Universal’s experience here has resulted in them returning.”
To date, Furious 7 has grossed over $1.5 billion globally and even is being credited with a 34% spike in tourists from the United State visiting Abu Dhabi this year.
