It was just over a week ago that three more women accused Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting them, making the count well over 40 women that have now accused Cosby of rape or harassment. With the scandal around Cosby still going strong, many celebrities have spoken out on Cosby’s alleged crimes. And now his former protégé Lisa Bonet has reportedly weighed in on her former mentor’s legal drama … indirectly.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Bonet’s famous daughter, Zoe Kravitz, spoke about her mother and was asked if she’s talked with her about the scandal.
“She hasn’t, she really hasn’t,” Kravitz said. “She’d plead the fifth, even to me. I think she’s just staying out of it. She’s just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don’t think she has any insight. It’s news to her as well.”
Kravitz was then asked if she understands why fans think her mother has insight on Cosby’s past or if she was even a victim herself.
“Of course,” she says. “She was on the show for a long time. She’s also a beautiful woman. It makes people wonder. She’s a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any women who had been abused, she would say something.”
