Atlanta native Logan Browning, best known for her breakthrough role on VH7’s “Hit the Floor,” is feeling awfully patriotic!
In an effort to promote patriotism, raise awareness of veterans’ issues and provide assistance for military families of all generations, Browning has teamed up with Boot Campaign’s #BootsOn initiative to support the 1.4 million men and women serving in our military.
“I’m getting my boots on because our military, our armed forces, are what our country is made of,” said the Devil Girl. “I wouldn’t be able to do literally what I’m doing today, without the armed forces who fight for that freedom, to keep me safe, to keep my home a place that I call home, where I can walk outside and I don’t have to worry about someone coming to harm me, because I have all of these wonderful people defending our nation here and outside of America.
“I would hope America considers this place home,” continued Browning, when asked why Americans should get their boots on, too. “I think unlike a lot of nations that naturally have a sense of culture and camaraderie, our nation can sometimes feel divided in terms of having all these different states and cultures within this one place. I feel our Armed forces are that ‘thing’ that can bring us together. This commonality that represents us, and defends us and is brave for us, and America should want to put their boots on. I don’t even understand why people wouldn’t want to support the people who keep them safe and free and protected.”
And Browning says she is getting her #BootsOn for “My Pops! I’m such a daddy’s girl. My daddy, Dr. Larry Browning, was in a branch of the Army and the Army Reserves, so it’s all I’ve known since I was a little girl. He went to Desert Storm when I was a wee thing, and he came back, which I am so grateful for. The kind of man he was I know has a lot to do with the time that he served and the things that he learned, and he implemented that into me and my brothers.”
Established in 2009, Boot Campaign is a national charitable organization dedicated to promoting patriotism for America and our military community, raising awareness of the unique challenges service members face during and post-service among other things.
