Tracy Morgan is making his comeback.

The actor/comedian will join Ice Cube and Charlie Day in an upcoming project, Fist Fight, which is set to begin filming later on this month in Atlanta, reports The Wrap.

The movie tells the story of a mild-mannered teacher (Day) who is challenged to a fist fight by a much tougher colleague (Cube). “Breaking Bad” alum Dean Norris will play the school’s principal while Jillian Bell will play a guidance counselor. The news follows shortly after it was announced that Morgan will return to “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 17 to host the popular NBC late-night show.

Morgan’s NBC gig will be the second time the newlywed has hosted the show and just one of his first TV performances since he was severely injured in a fatal car crash in June 2014. During a surprise appearance at the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 20, Morgan thanked family and friends for all their support throughout his recovery.

“I miss you guys so much,” Morgan said as he took the stage to present the evening’s final award for Best Drama Series. “Jimmy Kimmel said on this stage [last year] that we’ll see you back here next year, Tracy Morgan. Well, thanks to my amazing doctors and the support of my family and my beautiful new wife, I’m here standing on my own two feet.”

We’re happy to see Morgan recover and look forward to his upcoming project. Will you be watching? Sound off in the comment section below.
