New developments emerge surrounding claims that NBA superstar Derrick Rose drugged and gang raped his ex-girlfriend. As previously reported, the Chicago Bulls point guard was hit with a lawsuit accusing Rose and his friends of drugging and sexually assaulting a young woman at her L.A. apartment in 2013, after breaking into her residence while she was incapacitated.

Now, Rose is claiming that his ex gave him and his friends consent. According to court documents filed on Rose’s behalf, the accuser “consented to sexual interaction with more than one co-defendant on more than one occasion, consented to sexual interactions on the day in question, and invited the defendants to her apartment and buzzed them in.”

Rose further claims that he and his accuser shared a cup of coffee with her roommate the morning after the sex … before heading into work for a full shift. The implication is that a rape victim would have been way too distraught to do either.

In the docs, Rose suggests that the woman became upset with him sometime later, because she felt a debt was owed over a sex toy that had been damaged on the night in question, reports TMZ. Rose added fuel to the fire when he began ignoring her text messages.

Not only is the woman suing for unspecified damages, but the claims have already tarnished his image. According to Rose, however, this lawsuit won’t put a damper on the lifestyle he chooses…
