Lyntrell Jacobs, CEO of 86 Kisses Boutique, recently relaunched her successful online boutique. “We carry pieces that are unique, fashion forward and trendy,” she says of the venture. Headquartered in Atlanta, the virtual reality store founder capitalized on an opportunity and held a relaunch, pop-up event during the A3C Festival and BET Hip Hop Awards weekend at the We HEART Music hospitality suite on Thursday, Oct. 8.
“86 Kisses Boutique is an on trend virtual store that stays current by following pop culture and its fashion sense. We carry a wide variety of sizes from extra small to 3X. I tried to keep it affordable,” says the celebrity makeup artist who made a foray into fashion and has an affinity for lipstick, hence the name Kisses. She was born in 1986 and the branding developed from there.
What started as a hobby for Jacobs has now become a full time business that she’s focused on and intentional about. “I took a break to find more interesting pieces. I wanted to expand the selection and offer pieces that are really unique. I do a lot of shopping overseas and commission pieces from designers,” she says.
86 Kisses teamed with Juicy and IMPACT magazines offering guests first looks at emerging brands. Brands including Benson Watch Company, Crownz Headphones, HairMisses Hot Tools, and the AmoraRenae Collection among others will showcase and gift attending celebrity and media guests while Colour U Cosmetics, the official makeup sponsor led the onsite glam squad providing mini makeovers, consultations and samples to attendees. Guests imbibed on Premis Cognac cocktails and desserts from Chocolate Blossoms.
