Despite a variety of complaints, including high prices, Kanye West‘s Yeezy Season 1, which the rapper debuted during New York Fashion Week, has sold out at retailers like Barneys, SSENSE, and Mr. Porter. Oddly enough, a good portion of the line ended up on eBay.

The clothing line, with prices ranging from $340 for a “thermal knit shirt” to $3,510 for a “faux-fur-trimmed oversized parka,” also features baggy sweatshirts, sweats, distinctly tattered and oversize tops, along with jackets and signature boots.

Unfortunately, it was fans’ discontent over prices that overshadowed the rapper’s success. Many of whom took to Twitter to express their distaste.

And while West, 38, has not yet responded to the backlash or apparent success, he has been open in the past about wanting his clothes to be accessible to everyone.

“I don’t want them to be limited, actually,” he said during an interview with Power 105 FM’s “The Breakfast Club.” “That’s something that the company did. I really want as many people to get them as possible. I didn’t want the price to be $350. I don’t want to play this sneaker culture game and all this so they [will] be reselling them for high prices and stuff. I just want people to have what I make.”

What do you think of West’s collection? Is is worth the hefty price tag? Sound off in the comment section below.
