Like most people, Nicki Minaj likely wanted to engage in some Halloween shenanigans this past holiday weekend. But Minaj’s shenanigans seemed to backfire and get her in trouble recently after she was accused of being disrespectful to the disabled community.
The drama began this weekend when Minaj posted a video of herself dressed as a princess as she walked and laughed down a hallway with her entourage. Minaj can then be seen and heard saying, “Now, if only I could find Handi-Man” to the camera before pointing to a person sitting in a wheelchair and saying “walk.”
After Minaj posted the now-deleted video online, several of her followers blasted her for making fun of the disabled community. And when celebrity blogger Perez Hilton posted about the joke, Minaj finally decided to respond to the criticism.
Well, it looks like Minaj wasn’t trying to disrespect the disabled community, at all. We’re glad she clarified the situation, though.
