The city of Atlanta has once again honored The Gentlemen’s Foundation for their exceptional service and dedication to the advancement of equality of the LGBT community and celebrated with them on their 4th annual Gentlemen’s Ball on Saturday, Oct 31 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. In the spirit of Halloween, this year’s black-tie gala was themed with masquerade madness. The fabulous evening was hosted by television personalities Cynthia Bailey (“The Real Housewives of Atlanta”) and Karamo Brown (HuffPost Live).
This year’s 2015 honorees included Juan and Gee Session-Smalls and screenwriter Patrik Ian-Polk, who won Gentlemen of Excellence. Other honorees included Congressman John Lewis for Gentleman of Alliance; 135th Street Agency Publicist Vaughn Alvarez for Gentleman of Promise; Marck Angel for Gentleman of Artistry; and founder and CEO of 4US Sports Dedrick Tillerson for Gentleman of Service. Several notable guests were in attendance, including award-winning celebrity hairstylists Terrence Davidson and Derek J., Vocalist Victor M. Jackson II, Nevada’s District 4 Senator Kelvin Atkinson, LVL XIII founder Antonio Brown, and Bishop O.C. Allen of The Vision Church Atlanta. They were presented with a an exclusive live performance from Atlanta’s very own Algebra Blessett, who performed her hit single “Nobody But You” along with other soulful classics. The evening later commenced with an unforgettable speech by the founders Juan and Gee Session-Smalls.
