In wake of Friday’s shooting at a Planned Parenthood location in Colorado Springs, Colorado, celebs such as Chrissy Teigen, Kerry Washington and funny lady Kathy Griffin are offering their support for the controversial healthcare organization.
Every time shit like this happens, john and I immediately make another donation to planned parenthood.

Teigen, 29, voiced her feelings regarding the shooting via Twitter, saying she and husband John Legend would be donating to Planned Parenthood immediately. The mom-to-be continued by encouraging others to do so, providing a link to a donation page. As you can imagine in our socially sensitive society, Teigen’s comments did not go over well with many of her Twitter followers. “Maybe you should make a donation to the Colorado Springs Police Department,” one person wrote. “It would be wonderful if you could promote this as quickly as you promoted donating to PP,” another user wrote, linking to a crowdfunding page raising money for the family of the police officer who was killed in the shooting. Kerry Washington tweeted her support, as well.

Meanwhile, Griffin shared her personal experience with Planned Parenthood by stating how they helped her receive healthcare when she didn’t have insurance:
For many years I went 2 #PlannedParenthood 4 my yearly exam because I was too poor to afford insurance. Donate here https://t.co/d575Me2ra9

Naturally, one user in specific pointed out that well, “everyone has insurance now, it is required by law,” in an effort to discredit her testimony. But regardless of what side of the fence you’re on, the fact is that three innocent lives were lost. An additional nine people were hospitalized. Going tit for tat with someone on the internet won’t solve a thing. What do you think of Teigen, Washington and Griffin’s support of Planned Parenthood? Sound off in the comment section below.
