Margeaux Simms was a major part of the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” cast last season as she tried to find out the truth behind her estranged husband’s, Nikko Smith’s, sex tape with his ex-girlfriend Mimi Faust. Although Simms decided to end her marriage with Smith, it seemed like she would be back next season as she revealed to him that she’d moved on with a woman, androgynous model Merike Palmiste. But now it’s been revealed that both Simms and Palmiste have been fired from the show and they’re not happy about it.
According to TMZ, Simms and Palmiste had already signed contracts to appear on the fifth season of “LHHA,” where they would explore their relationship, as well as Simms’ breakup from Smith.
However, reps for both women told the site that shortly after filming began for the season, producers decided to fire Simms and Palmiste from the show.
The rep says the ladies weren’t given a specific reason for being dropped. However, the problem is that they weren’t given a release from their contracts either. Without those releases, Simms and Palmiste cannot sign on to do any other reality TV shows and are stuck in limbo.
Lawyers for the couple reportedly sent out letters to producers three weeks ago demanding that they release their clients from their contracts. However, there’s no word yet on when they’ll get a response or when Simms and Palmiste will be released.
