“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” may have turned up the volume on the drama since NeNe Leakes decided not to return for a full-time role on this season of the series, but fans of the show apparently aren’t enthused with the new direction the show has taken because ratings for “RHOA” are reportedly continuing to fall.

As previously reported, this season’s debut took a major ratings hit, earning a milllion less viewers than season 7 last year when it debuted with 3.8 million viewers.

Now, according to Lalate News, the show’s ratings are continuing to dip. The site reports that the Sunday, Nov. 29 episode got a 2.8 ratings share, which is far below the 3.5 average the show garnered last year and a reported loss of 700K viewers.

However, the ratings share for that week is a slight improvement from the previous week when the numbers dropped to 2.6.

Despite the slight improvement, though, it’s clear viewers aren’t tuning in as much as they were last year, and it’s hard to argue that it’s not because the series’ lead star left the show and because the show focuses more on drama and less on laughs.
