According to Philly.com, Minaj took the stand and described Mill as sometimes “irresponsible” but explained that he’s worked tremendously hard on becoming “a quote-unquote adult.”

“He never purposefully goes against rules,” she told the court. “He absolutely wants to make this a smooth transition.”

Minaj also told the judge, “We both have a strong fan base here in Philadelphia” and suggested that Mill could do community service in his hometown.

According to the Associated Press, Minaj also told the judge that she’d likely have more influence in helping Mill than his probation officer would.

“She’s not going to be the one sleeping alone if he goes to jail. I am,” Minaj told the judge. “He’s not perfect, but I can’t believe how much he’s changed.”

However, Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley reportedly claimed that Mill submitted a suspicious urine sample and she said, “[Williams is] thumbing his nose at me and I haven’t been convinced otherwise.”

Since the hearing, which ran for three hours, ran out of time, Brinkley decided to resume the hearing on Thursday, Dec. 17.
