Celebrity photographer Joi Pearson is offering a huge discount on photoshoots for rolling out readers just before the end of the holidays.
From shooting world-famous figures such as Oprah Winfrey and President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama to snapping pictures of celebs at special events for rolling out, Pearson has spent over six years satisfying customers by creating memorable visuals of special moments with her own company, Joi Pearson Photography. “Taking photos isn’t something where you just set a camera on a tripod or you hand your iPod to your homegirl,” Pearson explains. “Photography is an experience. You want something where you and your family remember it.”
Pearson takes into account the vision her clients have for their photoshoot, and then she develops the best setting and spot to capture the perfect moment. She sometimes even ventures outside of the studio for the winning shot.
“I was just in Gaithersburg, Maryland and [a family and I] were outside. All the leaves on the trees had died, but there was this one bright red tree by the lake. You’re not just going to pass that and be like, ‘oh, let’s just take photos right there.’ You have to scout locations, and you really want the family to be a part of it. They were sitting there enjoying each other, laughing, and the boys were playing with each other,” she recalls. “It’s something they’ll remember.”
She adds that even some department stores and portrait studios are unable to deliver the kind of unforgettable affair that Joi Pearson Photography provides.
“If you go to an Olan Mill, Walmart, J.C.Penney or something like that, it’s staged. You’re inside, you’ve got these backgrounds,” she describes. “And even if you do a shoot in the studio, you want to make it an experience, you don’t want it to be cookie-cutter.”
