It’s been months since Lamar Odom nearly lost his life after he suffered a drug overdose in a Nevada brothel that resulted in a coma and multiple strokes. Thankfully, Odom survived the ordeal and is on the road to recovery. However, a new report claims that Odom’s extensive hospital care is leaving him with a hefty hospital bill.
According to RadarOnline, sources say Odom has already racked up a $750K medical bill this year. However, they say that his debt could multiply drastically by the time he’s through with the extensive treatment and rehabilitation that he needs to fully recover.
“By the end of the year, he’ll have easily made at least a $10M dent in his $55M fortune,” an insider told Radar. “There’s no end in sight and he’s completely unaware of what’s going on.”
As previously reported, Khloe Kardashian halted her divorce with Odom and rushed to his side to handle his medical care after his overdose. However, the source claims that his family is worried that Kardashian’s decisions will leave Odom in a financial hole.
“Khloe’s managing most of it, but to her money’s no object and she’s signing him up for the best treatments money can buy,” the source said. “The fact they’re still only married in name has everyone on Lamar’s side freaking out because they know he’s going to be left with all these bills when she finally kicks him out.”
Despite the threat of a crippling debt, the source claims that Odom has no other medical alternatives.
“He needs this treatment,” the source said. “It’s what saved his life – but who’s going to pay for it all is going to cause some legal hell down the line.”
