The drama continues for Steve Harvey!
In case you missed it, on Sunday, Dec. 20, the talk show host made one heck of an oops during Miss Universe’s annual live broadcast. Drama ensued when the Harvey crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez-Arévalo, 21, when in fact Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurztbach, 25, was supposed to be honored with the title.
Despite his best apology, fans around the globe won’t be letting him live this down anytime soon. “I know how much pride many countries, fans and most importantly, the contestants take in preparing for this night. I hope that you can forgive me,” he shared on Sunday night. “All contestants were amazing but I want to specifically apologize to Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines again and wholeheartedly. You both represented well for your countries, families and yourselves.”
Since then, social media has been flooded with a variety of hilarious memes mocking Harvey’s honest mistake.
