Ever since Apollo Nida began his 8-year prison sentence in a Kentucky prison last year over a fraud and identity theft conviction, the former reality TV star has complained that his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, hasn’t let him see or hear enough from their two sons, Dylan and Ayden. However, it seemed like Nida had a shocking change of heart yesterday when a report claimed that he felt he wasn’t fit to have his kids around him.
According to TMZ, Nida was recently moved to a new facility and Parks and his two sons have yet to get clearance to go see Nida in his new prison.
Sources say Parks doesn’t think the kids should see their father behind bars and that Nida agrees with her thinking. Nida allegedly thinks the best option, for now, is that his sons just FaceTime him so they can avoid the trauma of seeing their father locked up.
The sources say Nida believes his sons would be better able to cope with seeing him in person when they’re older.
After the story ran, fans began talking on the web about Nida and his kids. However, Nida further surprised his fans when he posted an Instagram response to the story. Read what he had to say, after the cut.
