In 1974, the late Dr. Frances Cress Welsing debated the late William Shockley on “Tony Brown’s Journal.” Shockley, a physicist, argued that humans of African descent are genetically inferior. Cress — a psychiatrist, African-centered scholar and author of The Isis Papers — argued that his theory was flawed.
