Despite a landmark year for Drake as an artist, 2015 proved to be very rocky for the Young Money Cash Money Records family.
With Lil Wayne starting the year off by demanding to leave the label and a whole lot of other drama including lawsuits and even a possible attempt on Weezy’s life, it didn’t appear that things between Wayne and label boss Baby could ever be mended.
But, cresting the hill at the top of the game, Drake masterminded a fix.
The OVO leader posted a picture to Instagram from his massive New Year’s Eve Party in Miami that featured both Birdman and Weezy with the simple caption “16.” Could that mean that the new year will see a complete reunion of the entire YMCMB crew? Will Wayne drop his multi-million dollar lawsuit against Cash Money? And will Carter 5 finally see the light of day? In time we may all know the answers to those questions.
In addition to the Birdman and Weezy reunion, Drizzy also told the crowd at his shindig that his long awaited new album, Views From The 6, was “coming very soon.” According to the industry rumor mill, fans could see the anticipated new set as early as Valentine’s Day.
