Last night’s Golden Globe Awards was definitely packed with a bunch of headline-worthy highlights, and one of those surprising moments was when veteran actor Sylvester Stallone seemed to snub his Creed co-star, Michael B. Jordan, during his acceptance speech. Well, the snafu didn’t go unnoticed and Stallone ended up receiving some stern words from two other major Hollywood figures for his oversight.
During last night’s ceremony, Stallone won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as an aging Rocky Balboa in the film Creed. But during his acceptance speech, he forgot to thank the film’s star, Jordan, and the film’s director, Ryan Coogler. During the commercial break, Stallone went back onstage to thank the two men, but the damage had already been done.
Afterward, A-list filmmaker Ava DuVernay and veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson went on Twitter and blasted Stallone for the flub.
However, once they found out that Stallone tried to clean up the mess, they cut him a little slack.
Well, we’re glad that Stallone straightened that out and finally gave Jordan and Coogler their proper credit.
