Apollo Nida has never been one to bite his tongue when it comes to his former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mates. And although he’s usually blasting them, including his estranged wife, Phaedra Parks, for not supporting him behind bars, Nida recently praised Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker for sticking by his side throughout his legal drama.
According to media reports, Nida said in a new interview that most people stopped taking his calls when he began his 8-year prison sentence last year for fraud and identity theft. That sentiment echoes previous claims he’s made that both Parks and his former “RHOA” friend, Peter Thomas, have neglected him in prison. Nida has also claimed that Parks won’t allow their two sons to regularly communicate with him or even see him in prison.
However, Nida explained that he was surprisded by the fact that, out of all of his reality TV friends from the show, Burruss and Tucker have always taken the time to chat with him on the phone.
Nida also claims that the couple make sure to regularly check how he’s doing and that they also regularly put money on his commissary account.
Nida epxlained that he assumed that the couple wouldn’t have anything to do with him since they had a major falling out with Parks this past year, but he’s thankful that they have stuck by him despite his crimes.
Well, Nida should consider himself a lucky man to have made what seems to be loyal, lifelong friends on the series.
