  1. Surprise him or her. Of course you’re going to start with a fresh mouth. I have to say this because anyone who reads me knows I’m a stickler for impeccable hygiene. Think about what you put in your mouth before opening up for a kiss. Eat a piece a chocolate or fruit-nectarine, pineapples, honeydew melon, then dive in. Here’s an added tip: if you’re out on a date and you’ve eaten onions, garlic or the seasonings we love and are not so pleasant when talking or kissing, ask for a bowl of red grapes. I discovered this simply because I love red grapes. Just a few will naturally cleanse your entire mouth instantly.
