Cynthia chooses Kim to direct her commercial
Last week, Kenya skipped out on the threeway pitch meeting that she was supposed to have with Cynthia and Kim. But after the ladies all arrive in Jamaica, she’s finally ready to pitch her directing ideas to Cynthia. However, Cynthia ends up revealing to the entire group that she decided to go with Kim because she loved Kim’s idea of Hollywood meets Jamaica and because she was too pressed for time to wait on Kenya. Cynthia brings Kim and Kenya together for dinner later on in an effort to get Kenya to at least be an actress in the commercial. However, as soon as they sit down, Kenya tells Cynthia that she feels betrayed and that she doesn’t want to be a part of the commercial. Cynthia explains why she made her decision and even tells Kenya that her decision might have been different had she shown up to the initial meeting. But Kenya doesn’t want to hear it and she claims that Kim doesn’t have any experience directing commercials and is unqualified for the job. She then claims that Kim is out to alienate her from the other girls and that she’s trying to break up her friendship with Cynthia. Kim tries to calmly tell Cynthia that she’s going to do the commercial, before making her exit, but Kenya continues to blast Kim, telling her that she’s “tired” and needs to get out of the industry. She even goes so far as to pull Kim’s seat with her still in it. Kim immediately walks off and Cynthia is left mortified and explaining in her confessional that Kenya was dead wrong and that she doesn’t like this nasty side of Kenya.
