Former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick
The first Black Governor of Massachusetts has been talked about as a possible replacement for Scalia by both the Washington Post and the Associated Press. Patrick has a strong background in issues of constitutional law, civil rights, civil liberties. He campaigned for Obama in 2012 and was the inspiration for Obama’s “Yes we can” slogan which was taken from Patrick’s “Together we can.” Patrick is also being talked about as a possible vice presidential pick for Hillary Clinton.p
