California Atty. Gen. Kamala D. Harris
Kamala D. Harris is the current California attorney general and is running for the U.S. Senate. Harris is the daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica and a graduate of Howard University and earned her law degree at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Her tenure as california attorney general has been controversial because of her stance on several hot-button issues. These include abortion rights, same-sex marriage, collective bargaining rights, anti death penalty and favors medical marijuana. Harris was introduced at the 2012 Democratic National Convention by President Obama as the “The best looking attorney general in the country.”
