Good guy Russell Wilson launches Good Man Brand, a charitable new clothing line, with the kiddies in mind. On Monday, Feb. 29, the Seattle Seahawks quaterback debuted his line at Nordstrom in Seattle. “We’re going to change a culture through fashion,” he said. “This is not a celebrity-driven brand. I wanted to make unbelievable clothes. That was a no-brainer. That’s the most important thing.”
According to the brand’s website, for every item purchased, $3 will be donated to the Why Not You Foundation, which aids inner-city kids and “big issues like childhood cancer, world hunger, and domestic violence.”
As for the collection, it consists of everyday wardrobe essentials including shorts, crisp T-shirts, blazers and kicks. Meanwhile, the prices are affordable in comparison to other celebrity lines, like Kanye West’s Yeezy line. A tee will run you upwards of $76, while a pair of slip-on sneakers will cost you a pretty penny, $298. “It’s more than fashion, it’s about effecting change,” Wilson told the Huffington Post. “That’s what we’re really after.”
In addition to being available online, the clothes will hit shelves in 20-plus Nordstrom stores and 75 “mom and pop” shops. Check out a few of the pieces from the launch below and tell us, do you love it? Sound off.
