Katt Williams has had one controversial week. Besides being arrested for assault and being accused of pointing a gun at five women, Williams also made headlines for reigniting his fiery beef with fellow comedian Kevin Hart. But after hurling some scorching shade at Hart last week, it looks like Williams has had a change of heart because he recently made a public apology to Hart.

As previously reported, the drama began when Williams did a comedy show in Atlanta last week and claimed that Hart is an industry puppet and that he’s a better comedian than the movie star.

“I don’t care nothing that happens to Kevin [Hart], I just wish him the best. I just know that that’s somebody’s hand stuck up that baby, you understand. Oh, we’re a puppet show, boo boo. Please believe it. You’re looking at the only n—- that ain’t,” Williams said.

Although Hart could have fired back at Williams with a scathing diss of his own, he took a much more relaxed approach to his response on Instagram.

“True professionals understand the importance of sticking together & supporting one another….at the end of the day we are comedians & there aren’t many that make it to level that we have made it. But so many doors are opened from the success of one comedian & when you see those doors open you then have the opportunity to walk thru them….it’s about helping one another not trying to tear each other down!!!! The insecure ones will never understand that ‘Support & encouragement,” Hart wrote online.

Well, we’re not sure if Hart’s words moved Williams or not, but yesterday he appeared on V-103’s Big Tigger show and apologized to Hart for his comments.

“I should have never mentioned Kevin Hart’s name, he is the reigning King of Comedy,” Williams said.

“I also want to humbly apologize to Kevin Hart,” he later added. “The fact that he’s a Black male like me, and the fact that I attacked him with such [venom], at such a time when our country is already divided in every way it could be divided, racially, politically, economically, socially, religiously.”

However, Williams didn’t stop there. He proceeded to explain why he came after Hart and also took the opportunity to direct his shade toward fellow comedy icon, Chris Rock. Read the rest of Williams’ comments after the cut.
