Rihanna graces the cover of Vogue April 2016.
Draped in a multicolored sequinned gown by Tom Ford, the “Sex With Me” singer is serving up some mermaid realness and we love it! The spread, which was snapped at the gothic-inspired mansion of former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Carlton Gebbia, is just as breathtaking, featuring RiRi glowing in a variety of gold sequinned pieces.
Inside the pages, the bad gal dished on the tricky lyrics to her single “Work,” her love life, fitness and so much more. “You get what I’m saying, but it’s not all the way perfect,” she said of her hit single “Work,” featuring rapper Drake. “Because that’s how we speak in the Caribbean.”
As for her brand-new sound, Rihanna revealed she simply got bored with pop music and wanted to try something different. “Very much. I just gravitated toward the songs that were honest to where I’m at right now. It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40. But I felt like I earned the right to do that now.” Speaking of bored, when it comes to relationships, the 28-year-old just doesn’t have time for love (for now).
“My schedule is so crazy right now. It’s definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship … but I have hope!” On top of working hard on pushing her latest project while on tour, Rihanna admits she puts just as much hard work into her fitness game. “I don’t work out as much as I’d like to,” she says, “but my trainer Jamie is a beast and she makes me pay for it.” Hence how she slayed in this dress.
Earlier this month, Rihanna unveiled her cover for British Vogue April 2016. In the pages, she made a major announcement, a collaboration with famed shoe designer Manolo Blahnik. According to Ri, the collection will consist of a total six unique styles with the “Desert Denim” girl in mind. In the meantime, check out pics from Rihanna’s latest Vogue spread below.
