For years, it seemed like NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams had developed the kind of carefree friendship that could stand the test of time in the world of reality TV. But now it looks like their friendship is on shaky ground because Williams recently blasted Leakes over the recent “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion.
As previously reported, Leakes showed up for the final episode of the three-part “RHOA” reunion this Sunday and host Andy Cohen referenced a previous “Watch What Happens Live” episode in which Leakes commented that she didn’t like all the ways in which Williams had changed since she first joined “RHOA.” Williams revealed that she was hurt by Leakes’ comments and things got even worse when Cohen revealed a secret video of Williams getting into a fight with a former friend outside of Phaedra Parks’ holiday party.
Cohen asked Leakes to give Williams some advice about fighting and Leakes told Williams that she needs to be like her and deal with judgment without getting violent. That’s when Williams fired back and pointed out Leakes’ violent past and the infamous 911 call and police report from Kim Zolciak, in which she accused Leakes of choking her.
“Didn’t you choke somebody?” Williams questioned Leakes.
“Where was that? Did you see any footage of it? Now, let’s be clear. Have you seen me choke anybody? Let’s use our brain. If I have, I bet you I was smart enough to not have it on a camera, but you wasn’t. There’s a difference,” Leakes shot back before taking a more serious tone with Williams. “Porsha, you cannot put your hands on anybody else and you know that.”
Well, as we all expected, Williams wasn’t at all happy that Leakes criticized her and she opened up about her back-and-forth with Leakes during a recent segment on “Dish Nation.” Williams’ “Dish Nation” co-stars called Leakes a hypocrite and explained that they were disappointed in the rest of the “RHOA” cast for not defending Williams’ reputation.
And Williams didn’t have much nice to say about Leakes either.
“I deal with energy and you have to know when someone is trying to speak a curse upon you and when someone is trying to encourage you and speak blessings into your life. And what I felt from what was so-called a friend was trying to cast curses against my career and that I won’t have jobs and things like that. So all I have to say for that is that I will pray for people like that and I will hope to have the discernment to know who is my friend and who is not my friend,” Williams said.
She added, “And as far as my job is concerned, I have two successful companies, I just did ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ and I am on a nationally syndicated show, ‘Dish Nation,’ every single day.”
Well, it’s clear that these two women aren’t on good terms anymore and it will be interesting to see how they interact with each other next season on “RHOA.”
