This Claremont, California school came in at No. 1 on the list of most expensive schools. Named by Newsweek and Kaplan in 2006 as one of the “new Ivy Leagues,” Harvey Mudd’s mission statement is: “Harvey Mudd College seeks to educate engineers, scientists, and mathematicians well versed in all of these areas and in the humanities and the social sciences so that they may assume leadership in their fields with a clear understanding of the impact of their work on society.” Michael G. Wilson, a producer of the James Bond franchise, graduated from Harvey Mudd in 1963, having studied electrical engineering.
