Glam University, rolling out and Dr. Jameelah Gater hosted Mommies and Mimosas VIP Spa Experience for deserving Atlanta Moms at Ryse Wellness.
As a mother or a busy woman, you may find yourself taking care of everyone else, but when it’s time to treat yourself, you may not know where to begin. Fortunately, there are businesses that understand! In honor of mother’s day, RYSE Wellness and Glam University teamed together to present Mommies and Mimosas this past Saturday to pamper mothers and women in the community. RYSE Wellness, with RYSE standing for “rejuvenate your sexy everything” is a spa and treatment center nestled in the Buckhead area offering services from pedicures to lipotropic injections.
Guests were greeted with complimentary mimosas, finger foods, and sweet treats when they walked in. Guests had the chance to experience the different services Ryse Wellness has to offer. Of the services were foot scrubs, liposuction consults, back massages, mini facials, and smooth-shaping. In addition to the services, guests were able to tour the one bedroom, and two and a half bathroom penthouse located in the Astoria Condominiums where VIP members are welcomed to stay as they recover during their downtime.
With all of the services they had to offer, it may have seemed overwhelming deciding where to start or which one was the best for you, however, friendly spa specialists were available to answer any and all questions.
Kenya, a RYSE Wellness specialist, described that their smooth-shape service is a radio-frequency laser procedure-which essentially melts fat, rids cellulite, smooths the skin, and actually tightens sagging skin. She continued that this procedure is suitable for any client who struggles with love handles, a pudge, or excess skin from prior weight loss. However, she emphasized that dietary precautions play a key role. Interested clients need to have an adequate water intake and a relatively healthy diet in order to see results. This service is offered in four, six and eight session packages.
Between the genuine hospitality and friendly staff, guests certainly felt appreciated. Veronica, a retired veteran and mother, stated she never experienced being pampered before. She described her first visit as “very nice” she continued, “I was kind of skeptical coming at first, [I] didn’t know what to expect. But everybody is so friendly and helping me out and telling me the things that I need to know about my skin and my body.” Veronica also stated that the likelihood of her coming back is very likely with the smooth-shape being her favorite experience..
VH1’s “Hollywood Exes” very own Andrea Kelly was also in attendance to show her support for Dr. Mimi and Dr. Gater whom she describes as her “boo-boo kitty.” Kelly, a loyal customer, noted that she regularly comes to RYSE Spa to get her microdermabrasion treatments, deep-tissue massages, and reflexology treatments. She explained the importance of mothers taking the time out to pamper themselves saying: “Try and do it once a month. Whether it’s just getting a mani-pedi, a facial, or a massage. Motherhood is like a gas tank. And when you’re on ‘E’, you’re giving your family fumes. You have nothing to go off of, so you have to replenish and fill your tank up and this is the best way to do it.”
This Mother’s Day, Kelly is keeping her plans simple saying that she’s “doing absolutely nothing — what moms don’t get to do!” She sympathized with most busy mothers saying: “Every day, there is something that you have to do—such as picking somebody up or [getting] groceries. That’s why I’m like ‘do not take me to a restaurant, I am not waiting two hours for something that usually takes 20 minutes.’ Give me a little breakfast in bed, let’s play some games, watch movies, maybe go to the movies.”
