John Legend recently defended his wife, Chrissy Teigen. The new dad used social media to blast Twitter trolls for criticizing the mother of his child. In case you missed it, in April the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was targeted by social media users after leaving her newborn daughter, Luna, at home while she and Legend went out to dinner. Luna was 1-week-old week at the time.
“I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!” the 30-year-old tweeted, quoting one of her critics in a separate tweet, ” ‘I never wanted to leave my daughter, I love her, BUT THAT’S JUST ME’ – the passive aggressiveness is real!”
“Funny there’s no dad-shaming. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. We’ll split it,” Legend tweeted, pointing out a certain inequality, when it comes to how people treat mothers and fathers.
Of course, the “All of Me” crooner makes a great point and his fans are in total support of his stand.
@johnlegend That’s why you’re the realest! Standing up for your wife, real love

@johnlegend Don’t accept the shaming game for either of you. No one can parent your child better than you. God entrusted you with this Jewel

Although Teigen’s proven she can hold her own, we applaud Legend, 37, for having his beautiful wife’s back. What are your thoughts on Twitter trolls mom-shaming the new mom and Legend running to her rescue? Sound off in the comment section below.
