It may be time for Chris Brown and Nia Guzman to take a corner.
Although the couple has been battling it out over custody and child support in court, the parents to daughter Royalty recently took their battle out of the courtroom and onto social media. In case you missed it, earlier this week the rapper won his custody case, allowing him to continue seeing his daughter 12 days per month without supervision. The judge also ruled in favor of Brown’s current support order — in other words, there’ll be no increase.
Soon after, Guzman opened up to Latina magazine, where she slammed her relationship with the “Loyal” crooner. “I was very fearful for…everything that’s going on now. I know that he’s young, he’s wild, and he has the bad boy persona, and I just knew that it just wasn’t going to be the best situation,” she said when asked why she and the rapper kept their daughter a secret for so long. “And if I could have still kept it quiet until now, I would have.”
She went on to claim Brown is an unfit parent. “It’s pretty common sense. He knows. He knows he cannot do it on his own. She’s only two, and she’s a lot of work. I just wanted a nanny in place when she was with him, and it be agreed upon,” she shared. “It’s not like I was just going to throw anybody in there, it was something that we would agree, and this was what it was going to be, and then we go forth.”
Naturally, once Brown got wind of the interview, he felt some kind of way. So, like any other disgruntled celeb these days, he aired out his feelings via Instagram. “You lost the case and wanna be petty!…Can anyone tell me where this woman works? Can someone show proof of ownership on anything thing! I take care of damn near everyone in my life and I know I DO AMAZING WITH MY DAUGHTER! Just LIKE IM PAYING FOR THE BDAY PARTY YOU ARE THROWING! 30k!!!!!! Honestly act your age…That’s damn near 15 years older than me,” wrote Brown in a post that has since been deleted.
Before we knew it, Guzman was firing back. “LITTLE F–KING BOY!!!! Try 5 years older! IM THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILD! Respect your f–king elders! I’m tire dof this online petty s–t!! I LOST NOTHING BECAUSE I NEVER TRIED TAKING OUR DAUGHTER AWAY….I SIMPLY WANTED A MONITOR FOR YOUR CERTAIN ADDICTIONS…YOU CHOSE ME…YOU CHOSE TO LAY WITH ME…”
Guzman continued to defend herself by referring to Brown as an “Instagram dad.” She also tells him to “go to a recital, go to a school function” because “your mother does it all.” But it didn’t stop there. The “Say Goodbye” rapper responded by calling the mother of his child “petty pants”, “poop butt” and asked her to “please have some dignity for our daughters sake instead of tryna get ur Maurie moment.”
While it appears the feud dimmed for a little while, as Brown shared several snaps in honor of his daughter’s birthday, we imagine things are still brewing.
