Fresh off the afterglow of her hit single, “On A Cloud,” self-proclaimed “Queen of R&B Trap,”  Neisha Neshae   has released, 5 The EP.  The Ypsilanti, Michigan, native clearly came to slay and is not playing as she gets lit. Her sexy yet, edgy persona has propelled her to popularity with over one million plays on YouTube and SoundCloud and over 75,000 social media followers. Unapologetic about her troubled childhood, she grips listeners with soul-baring lyrics, seamlessly mixing the bitter and the sweet. Her demure beauty is visually pleasing but, her versatile vocal ability and candid content, along with infectious beats get you hooked. Neshae proudly embraces her ability to flip the script from nice to naughty. “I have a very sentimental side of me that’s full of emotions … and then I have my grimy, thug side of me,” she says.

Neshae’s music reflects a young woman’s journey as she grinds for prosperity, peace and respect. But, for her, it isn’t just about material gains. “I lost my mom my 11th grade year in high school … There was no way for me to prosper in life unless I found something that I loved to do. I wanted to let people know that if you’ve gone through the things I’ve been though, there are ways to overcome it … The thing that helped me the most was learning who I was,” she says.

The singer-songwriter notes her early introduction to God while attending and singing in church as one reason for her resilience. Even though she’s blowing up the R&B game, she says that she’s open to doing a gospel song eventually.

Gaining attention within the industry, Neshae recently performed at Summer Jamz 2016 in Detroit. Taking her time with settling into a label home, she has received nods from several major labels and has worked with Grammy Award-winning producer, Detail, executive producer of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.”

Neshae is determined to remain true to herself. “Labels have a tendency of changing artists —and it’s really sad to see an artist change what they genuinely want to do — they lose their creativity; it’s hard to see people lose that,” she says.

Neshae’s future plans include acting, touring around the world and visiting schools to mentor young kids. But first, she is focusing on living her dreams. “I just wanna make good music … I want people to think of me as a creative genius, the overachiever sitting on top of success.”
